Buscape Group


Buscapé was founded in 1998 by three computer engineering students and an administration undergraduate that spotted a gap in the market for a reliable shopping comparison site. By 2006, after acquiring closest competitor Bondfaro, the business was operating Latin America’s biggest shopping comparison website.

Headquartered in São Paulo, Buscapé became part of Naspers in 2009, when the group acquired a 91% stake which was increased to 100% in 2015.

Over time the company diversified into a wide spectrum of business models across the ecommerce value chain throughout South America’s key online markets. Amongst others this included an affiliate advertising network (Lomadee), an ecommerce research business (eBit), a fraud risk assessment service (FControl) and a payment platform (Pagamento Digital, which has since been integrated into the PayU business).

More recently Naspers combined all its online comparison shopping (OCS) operations - including 7Pixel, Pricecheck, Heureka and Ceneo - into one business called Buscapè Group, creating the world’s largest online comparison shopping group.
